The Department of Psychiatry of Dicle University Faculty of Medicine began to serve as a separate unit in 1974, after separating from Neuropsychiatry. In 1982 it moved to a new building and continued to serve with a strong staff, together with 2 specialist physicians, under the management of Prof. Dr. Kemal AKTEN. In our 24-bed semi-closed mixed clinic, ECT under anesthesia is performed. Various Neuropsychological tests are administered to patients. It serves both inpatients and outpatients.
