General Information
The PMR (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) department of Dicle University was established in 1970 by Prof. Dr. Ferda ERDOĞAN. At the time of its establishment, it was the first and only PMR clinic in the region. It provides services with a staff of 20 people in total, comprising 1 Professor, 5 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor and 13 residents working within our department. Our department carries out its activities in the fields of physical therapy, rehabilitation and rheumatology. Our clinic consists of 23 beds, and 10,250 outpatients are seen annually. Each year, 550 patients are also hospitalized and treated. Our clinic serves patients through 3 outpatient clinics:
- 1- General outpatient clinic
- 2- Rheumatic diseases outpatient clinic
- 3- Osteoporosis
Clerkship
The physical medicine and rehabilitation clerkship is given over a three-week period in the fifth year. During the clerkship, theoretical and practical course applications are carried out. Theoretical lectures are given in the classroom within the administrative section. Practical course applications are given in the clinic, outpatient clinic, treatment hall and exercise hall. At the end of the clerkship, students whose average of the grades obtained from the theoretical and practical examinations is 60 or above are considered successful.
