Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dicle University Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department was founded in 1970 by Prof. Dr. Ferda ERDOĞAN. At its establishment, it was the first and only PMR clinic in the region. The department operates with a total staff of 20, including 1 professor, 5 associate professors, 1 assistant professor, and 13 residents. Our department provides services in the fields of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, and Rheumatology.
Our clinic has 23 beds and handles around 10,250 outpatient cases annually. Additionally, approximately 550 patients are admitted and treated each year. We offer services to patients through three main clinics:
- General outpatient clinic
- Rheumatology clinic
- Osteoporosis clinic
Internship
The physical medicine and rehabilitation internship is given during the fifth year of study and lasts for three weeks. During the internship period, both theoretical and practical classes are conducted. The theoretical classes take place in a classroom within the administrative section. Practical classes are held in the clinic, polyclinic, treatment room, and exercise salon.
At the end of the internship, there is a theoretical and practical exam, and students who score an average of 60 or above are considered successful.
