Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
In the department, certain hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays every week are allocated to training. Within the framework of the program, seminars, case presentations, article presentation, monthly morbidity/mortality and statistics meetings, obstetric-pediatrics joint meetings and advanced theoretical assistant courses are carried out. Our department carries out all kinds of activities and procedures in risky pregnancy/perinatology, gynecology/gynecological oncology/urogynecology, endoscopic procedures, and obstetrics practice (except for vitro fertilization procedures)
INTERNSHIPS
The department provides undergraduate education to the students of the third, fourth and sixth grade students of Faculty of Medicine, as well as specialty education to students passing the TUS exam.
During their 6-week training, fourth grade students are given theoretical courses as well as laboratory courses, inpatient training visits and practical training in the operating room/maternity ward. Exam for internship is held at the end of the sixth week.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT TRAINING
The training is provided to students passing the TUS exam and 4-6 research assistants are taken every April and/or September TUS period. The training period covers 4 years. Anesthesia, General Surgery, Urology and Pathology rotations are performed throughout the training.
