HISTORY
The Faculty of Letters, which is one of the biggest faculties of Dicle University, is integrated with the modern city of Diyarbakır in the South-eastern Anatolia Region. It started to give education as part of Faculty of Science and Letters in 1992 and has continued its education and training since then. Our faculty gained its independent status as a separate faculty in 2009. With its academic staff and administrative unit, it has targeted at offering various courses in nine departments and holds regular scientific and academic events that contribute to its recognition. Our departments, which are shaped in line with national and regional needs, aim at educating and training students who will contribute to the human resources of our country. The departments within the faculty are as follows:
