History

Established in the 1976-1977 academic year under the Ministry of National Education, Diyarbakır Vocational School was affiliated with Dicle University Rectorate on July 20, 1982. Between 1985 and 2002, our school provided education in single-story barracks on the university campus, before moving to Block 4 of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in 2002. Diyarbakır Technical Sciences Vocational School began admitting its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year as a result of the division of Diyarbakır Vocational School into three vocational schools. Currently, our vocational school continues its education with 15 departments and 32 programs, offering both first and second degree programs, with 46 teaching staff and 2238 students. As of 2021, our vocational school, continuing its education with 15 departments, 2238 students, and a total of 32 programs (2 of which are second degree programs), is strengthening its administrative and academic structure and continuing its growth and development year after year.


Our college aims for a strong research infrastructure and high-quality education in its departments. We continuously pursue studies that lead the way in new and modern technological advancements. The fact that our college laboratories constantly strive to keep up with innovations is a result of our policy of achieving international standards in scientific research. Our faculty members have internet access and computers. To serve our students and academics, our college has 20 modern classrooms and 18 laboratories, 6 of which are computer labs. Additionally, our college has 13 workshops, 1 amphitheater, and 1 conference hall. The use and monitoring of opportunities offered by contemporary technology in education is a necessity. Projectors have been installed in all classrooms and laboratories by our Directorate for use in classes and departmental activities.
