History
In 1998, the department was renamed the Department of Secondary Education Science and Mathematics Fields Education as part of the restructuring of education faculties. The program, which was five years long between 1998 and 2013, was shortened to four years after 2014. Since 2016, the department has continued its educational and training activities as the Department of Mathematics and Science Education.
