Chemistry Education
The Chemistry Teacher Training Sub-Department, affiliated with the 4-year Science Education Department, was established in 1986 and produced its first graduates in the same year. The sub-department initially offered a 5-year program, but this was shortened to 4 years in 2014. Students are admitted to the sub-department based on their scores on the YGS-2 (Science and Mathematics) exam. The sub-department attracts students who are particularly interested in nature and living organisms and who aspire to pass on their knowledge to the next generation. The sub-department currently has approximately 170 students.
Graduates of the sub-department are mainly employed in public schools, private educational institutions, and private tutoring centers. The sub-department has a strong reputation for producing high-quality graduates who are well-prepared to teach chemistry at all levels.
