Educational Sciences Programs

The Department of Educational Sciences contributes to teacher education and graduate studies through its academic expertise in curriculum and instruction, educational administration, measurement and evaluation, instructional technologies, guidance, and psychological counseling.

Although the department does not directly admit students at the undergraduate level, it supports all teacher education programs within the Faculty of Education by offering professional teaching knowledge courses. These courses include foundations of education, educational psychology, philosophy and sociology of education, classroom management, guidance and special education, measurement and evaluation, curriculum development, instructional principles and methods, research methods in education, and instructional technologies.

At the graduate level, the department offers master’s and doctoral programs for students and professionals who wish to specialize in educational sciences. The master’s programs aim to develop students’ theoretical knowledge, research skills, and professional competencies in areas such as curriculum development, educational leadership, assessment, instruction, and educational policy. The doctoral programs focus on preparing researchers who can conduct original studies, contribute to scientific knowledge, and offer evidence-based solutions to educational problems.

Through its undergraduate service courses and graduate programs, the Department of Educational Sciences plays an important role in the preparation of qualified teachers, researchers, educational leaders, and experts who contribute to the improvement of education at local, national, and international levels.
