Call for Papers

Dear researchers, with the joint organisation of Dicle University Faculty of Theology, Dicle University Institute of Social Sciences Directorate, Diyarbakır Provincial Mufti's Office and Diyarbakır Religious High Specialisation Centre Directorate, the 1st International Religion, Culture and Civilisation Postgraduate Student Symposium will be held on 15-16 May 2025 (Thursday-Friday) with the theme of ‘Thought’.

This event, which will be held with the support of the Rectorate of Dicle University, aims to bring together graduate and doctoral students working in the field of theology and social sciences and academician candidates conducting religious research. The symposium will provide an opportunity for researchers to share their academic studies, contribute to scientific discussions and prepare the ground for interdisciplinary information exchange.

In this context, all postgraduate students studying in the fields of social sciences such as theology, history, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, language, literature, communication, art, politics, media, especially religious sciences can apply to the symposium. In addition, researchers who have completed their master's and doctoral studies within the last two years can also participate with their papers. The papers to be presented can be prepared based on completed or ongoing theses, as well as focusing on different topics of special interest to the researcher.

The language of the symposium is Turkish, and researchers from abroad will be able to present their papers in Arabic or English. All submitted texts will be subjected to referee processes and successful ones will be accepted. While the domestic presenters are obliged to present their papers face-to-face, online opportunities will be offered for those who will participate from abroad. Participants who make presentations will be given a certificate of participation and the symposium abstract booklet will be published. The full texts approved by the scientific committee will be published after the editorial processes are completed.

We invite all students and young researchers in religious studies and humanities to participate in this prestigious international symposium.
