Abstract Submission Rules

*Our symposium meets the criteria for associate professorship for Turkey.

Abstracts from all areas of nursing are accepted.

Accepted abstracts can be presented online or face-to-face, depending on the presenters' preferences.

The symposium will include oral presentations related to reviews, original research, case studies, etc.

The languages of the symposium are Turkish and English; abstracts can be submitted in both languages. Turkish abstracts must also include an English summary.

Oral presentations can be made in either English or Turkish.

Abstract submissions should be sent to uakhs2024@gmail.com.

All participants are responsible for their submitted works. All liability for ethical, legal, and other issues rests with the authors. Works submitted to the symposium must not have been presented or published at another event.

The points to be considered when submitting a paper are listed below;

General Principles:

Abstracts should only be submitted via the email address uakhs2024@gmail.com.

Participants must first complete the registration form available on the symposium website before submitting an abstract.

Abstracts can be presented in Turkish or English.

Turkish abstracts must also include an English summary.

Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Office Word format.

Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the symposium scientific committee; decisions on suitability and acceptance will be made by the Scientific Committee.

Evaluation of Abstracts

The symposium scientific committee will also act as reviewers. Abstracts will go through a peer review process, after which acceptance, rejection, and requests for corrections may occur. Accepted abstracts will be communicated to the email address from which the abstract was submitted.

Responsibility for reviewer corrections/suggestions lies entirely with the author(s).

All correspondence related to submitted abstracts will be conducted through the email address of the submitting author.

Full text submission is optional and can be sent through the symposium email address by the relevant deadlines.

Abstract Preparation Rules

 

The languages of the symposium are Turkish and English.

The entire abstract must not exceed 300 words (excluding title, author names, institutional information, and keywords).

Abstracts must be prepared in Times New Roman font, with 1.5 line spacing and 12-point size.

The title of the abstract should reflect the content, be concise, and not contain abbreviations. The title should be capitalized for the first letter of each word.

Author names should not include academic titles and should be written in lowercase with only the first letter capitalized.

The names and addresses of authors’ institutions (university name, faculty/department, city, and country) must be included.

Authors' names should be written in the order they appear in the work; the name of the presenting author should be underlined and must be registered.

The abstract should be clear in terms of content and scope.

If abbreviations are used in the abstract, they should be defined in parentheses upon first use.

Original research abstracts should be structured to include “introduction, objective, method, findings, results, and recommendations.”

Case study abstracts should include “introduction, objective, case(s), results, and recommendations.”

Review abstracts should include “introduction, objective, results, and recommendations.”

Keywords should consist of at least 3 and a maximum of 5 words.

English keywords should comply with Medical Subject Headings (MESH) (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html). Turkish keywords should be provided according to the Turkish Science Terms (TBT) (http://www.bilimterimleri.com).

Turkish abstracts must also include English summaries.

Turkish and English abstracts should be prepared according to the same rules. Unlike Turkish abstracts, there is no word limit for English abstracts.

Oral Presentation Features

Oral presentations may be made by the author in either English or Turkish.

All presentations will be conducted in the order indicated in the symposium program. Session information for your oral presentation will be communicated to you.

Presentations that are not made during the meeting will not be published in the proceedings.

To ensure control and avoid any issues with the presentation files, all presenters must enter the sessions 15 minutes before the start time. The oral presentation duration is 7 minutes, with 5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.

All authors' names should appear on the first slide of the presentation.

The name of the presenter should be underlined in the presentation.

All participants presenting orally must remain in the session until its conclusion.

Full Text Submission Format:

Full texts must be in A4 format (21 x 29.7 cm). All margins (left, right, top, and bottom) should be set to 2.5 cm.

The title should be centered, written in capital letters, bold, and 12-point font size. The English title should be prepared in the same format, with one line space left afterward.

After the English title, leave one line space. Author names, institutions, and emails should be provided after the title.

The text must be in Times New Roman; the abstract size should be 10-point, and the main text should be 12-point, single-spaced.

The entire text should be written in “Times New Roman.”

After the authors' information, a 300-word Turkish summary should be provided (Not mandatory for abstracts in English), followed by an English summary (no word limit for the English summary).

Tables and figures must not exceed the given page margins.

There should be a line space between sections of the text (e.g., Introduction, Method, Results, and Recommendations, References). Main headings should be written in bold and capital letters. Second-level headings should be capitalized and bold. Third-level headings should be italicized and capitalized.

Text used in tables and graphs should be in Times New Roman. The font size in tables can be reduced to 8 points.

References should be listed alphabetically at the end of the text. In-text citations and references should be prepared in AMA (numeric) format.

Abbreviations should conform to standard usage. They should be provided in full format upon first use.

The full text, including references and tables, should not exceed 10 pages.

The similarity rate in full text submissions should not exceed 20%.
