DATE OF ESTABLISHMENT
Dicle University began in 1966 as Diyarbakır Faculty of Medicine, connected with Ankara University, and expanded to include the Faculty of Science in 1973. In 1982, Diyarbakır University changed its name to Dicle University.
CAMPUS LAYOUT
Dicle University has an area of 19.71 square kilometers, 565 thousand square meters of which is an indoor space.
Dicle University's Main Campus houses 15 faculties, 4 institutes, 5 vocational schools, 7 vocational high schools, and 31 application and research centers. In addition, in the districts of Silvan, Ergani, Bismil, Çüngüş, and Çermik, there are 5 vocational schools. Under these units, the university offers 75 associate degree programs, 96 undergraduate programs, 120 master's programs, and 40 doctoral programs.

Out-of-town students at our university are provided with accommodation options through both on-campus and off-campus dormitories belong to Higher Education Student Loans and Dormitories Institution.
