Department of Traditional Turkish Arts

In this section, which has a curriculum specific to our historical background; It is aimed to provide education and training of visual arts in different fields such as Calligraphy, Illumination, Miniature, Marbling and Jewelry Design. In Diyarbakir, which has a strong acquis and accumulation related to each mentioned field of art, it is useful to mention especially Calligrapher Hamit Aytaç. In this respect, it is very important to raise individuals who can integrate tradition and the future with the technology and culture of the age, without compromising originality, with an abstract aesthetic taste. In this integration; It can be said that there is a great need for individuals who can transform the product into an artistic work with intellectual functionality and on the basis of scientific and artistic aesthetic criteria.
