The proposal to establish a Computer Engineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering at Dicle University was approved at the Council of Higher Education Executive Board meeting on April 28, 2010, and the Department of Computer Engineering was founded in 2012. The department was established to meet the growing demand for computer technologies at both regional and national levels, and to train well-equipped engineers in this field.
Our establishment came at a time when the information technology sector was rapidly expanding, and it emerged as a solution to meet the demands in the field of computer engineering. The fundamental mission and vision of our department were shaped in line with the needs of that period. We aim to continuously keep pace with technology and offer the most current knowledge and skills. At the same time, we have focused on producing projects to enhance the social and industrial benefits of computer technologies.
Our department looks toward the future with the valuable experience and accumulated knowledge gained throughout its institutional history. Each passing year strengthens our goal of achieving greater success and assuming a leading role in the field of computer engineering.
