Landscape and Ornamental Plants

Program Introduction

The aim of the program is to train intermediate staff with the title of technician that will protect and develop the natural resources, cultural heritage, and landscape elements, eliminate environmental problems arising from agricultural, industrial and urban usage, analyse and evaluate the data on natural, cultural and socio-economic environment, plan houses, roads and all green areas of cities and implement all these plans, plan all areas that add health and happiness to human life such as planning of coastal arrangements, holiday villages, environmental arrangements of all tourism areas, national parks, and nature conservation areas. Graduates of the program graduate with the Associate Degree in Landscape Program. They can be employed in the public sector such as The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Forestry Provincial and District Directorates and nurseries belonging to this institution, Highways, State Water Affairs, and also Parks and Gardens Directorates of the Municipalities, and private sector such as tourist hotels, holiday villages and sites, landscape architecture offices, sales stands of ornamental plants in supermarkets, businesses and nurseries producing and marketing ornamental plants, or they can establish their own businesses.
