Teaching Mobility

Erasmus Teaching Mobility

Only teaching staff members (Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and Lecturers) who are solely responsible for teaching can benefit from the Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility Program.

The participating staff members are required to provide a minimum of 8 hours of teaching.

The mobility activity, excluding travel, can be carried out for a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 2 months (Due to application intensity, one week of the activity is funded by our university. Staff members who wish to extend their activity without funding can do so).

The mobility must be conducted at the partner institutions with which our university has an agreement.

If a staff member wishes to carry out mobility at a university with which our university does not have an agreement, they should contact our Erasmus Coordinator Office and express their request. Necessary efforts will be made to establish an agreement with the relevant university.

Selected academic staff members must complete their activities and return by September 30th.

Staff members who are interested can also participate in exchange activities as "Non-Grant Teaching Staff Mobility" without receiving funding. However, they must have applied to the Erasmus Coordinator Office during the application period.

Application and Selection Process:

During the announcement period for the relevant academic year, all application documents must be submitted to our university's Erasmus Coordinator Office (Staff members who fail to submit their documents during the application period will not be eligible for the program, even if they have received acceptance).

During the application period, evaluations will be made based on the announced assessment criteria, and the results will be announced on the Erasmus Coordinator Office's website.

Candidates who are included in the main list will provide an acceptance letter within the specified dates and submit it to the Erasmus Coordinator Office (Along with the acceptance letter, a signed "Mobility Agreement" document will be submitted from the partner institution).

Candidates who have submitted their documents will apply to their affiliated academic unit (Institute, Faculty, School, etc.) to obtain an assignment for their duration of stay (In the assignments, it must be clearly stated that the staff member is being assigned within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program, and the travel expenses and daily allowances will be covered by the Erasmus+ Program).

Even staff members with confirmed assignments should complete the ticketing process and apply to the Erasmus Coordinator Office at least 30 days prior to their departure for the preparation of the grant agreement (For the signing of the agreement, an Euro account opened at Vakıfbank is required).

After the signing of the agreements, 80% of the total allowance to be received before the departure from the country is transferred to the staff member's account.

After completing the program abroad, the participation certificate (or the original Mobility Agreement and acceptance letter if not previously submitted to the Erasmus Coordinator Office) and Boarding Passes are submitted to the Erasmus Coordinator Office in their original form.

Finally, after entering the Teaching Staff Mobility Report into the system, the staff member will receive the remaining 20% of the allowance and eligible travel payments.
