Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices

Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices

Cooperation for the Exchange of Innovation and Good Practices provides an opportunity for establishing institutional collaborations in the context of education, training, and youth activities among educational institutions, youth organizations, businesses, local/regional authorities, and civil society organizations. The aim is to develop innovative practices, promote creativity, entrepreneurship, and enhance employability through these partnerships.

Projects to be implemented through partnerships can be classified as country-based and centralized activities:

  • Country-based activities are projects managed by the National Agency in the applicant's country.
  • Centralized activities are projects where applications are submitted to the Executive Agency of the European Commission located in Brussels.

Among the following activities, 'Strategic Partnerships' are country-based, while 'Sector Skills Partnerships' and 'Knowledge Alliances' are centralized activities.

  1. Strategic Partnerships:
  2. Under Strategic Partnerships, project applications are made to local national agencies. Strategic Partnerships aim to support strategic cooperation and partnership projects among institutions of program member countries at the institutional, local/regional, national, or international level for the development, transfer, and/or implementation of innovative practices.

  3. Sector Skills Partnerships:
  4. Sector Skills Partnerships, which fall under centralized activities, are international systems that aim to enhance the responsiveness of vocational education systems to the sectoral skill needs of the labor market in a specific economic sector and to new skill demands related to one or more professional fields.

  5. Knowledge Alliances:
  6. Knowledge Alliances, also falling under centralized activities, are international, structured, and result-oriented projects that aim to establish a bridge between higher education and the business world. Knowledge Alliances target the strengthening of Europe's capacity for innovation by promoting innovation within higher education, the business world, and the wider socio-economic environment.
