Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases

The Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases focuses on the study of feed raw materials, their utilization by animals, feeding programs for farm animals, and nutrition-related diseases in animals.

The curriculum begins by providing students with detailed information about nutrient metabolism in different animal species and the use of feed ingredients in animal nutrition. Alongside theoretical courses, laboratory analysis of nutrients and practical applications related to feed introduction are conducted. This approach ensures that students acquire knowledge about the nutritional metabolism of ruminants and monogastric animals, as well as understanding the characteristics of feedstuffs and their appropriate utilization based on animal species. In subsequent semesters, specialized courses on animal nutrition provide information on feeding methods specific to different animal species. Finally, in their final year, students gain hands-on experience in the feeding of farm animals.
