The program outcomes of the Biology Department are designed to enable students to utilize their knowledge and skills in the field of biology after graduation, in accordance with scientific and ethical values, to contribute to society and the environment.

In this context, the Biology Department Program Outcomes are outlined below:

  • Possesses advanced theoretical and practical knowledge supported by current information in the field of biology, emphasizing a scientific approach with the use of textbooks, practical tools, and other resources.
  • Adapts and conveys acquired knowledge in biology to secondary education.
  • Interprets biological data using acquired knowledge and skills, evaluates with a critical perspective, identifies problems in accordance with current scientific developments, analyzes and develops research-based solutions.
  • Conceptualizes biological events and phenomena; examines them through scientific methods and techniques.
  • Designs and conducts experiments for biological research purposes. Collects data, analyzes and interprets results.
  • Independently determines the subjects to learn and conducts research to find resources related to these subjects.
  • Recognizes the necessity of continuous learning, consistently improving knowledge and skills in the field of biology.
  • Informs relevant individuals and institutions about the subjects learned; expresses thoughts and solution proposals for problems in written and oral forms, shares solution proposals supported by data with stakeholders.
  • Organizes and implements projects and activities with a social purpose, demonstrating a sense of social responsibility.
