The Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Department at Dicle University aims to train students who are:

• Qualified and highly motivated
• Prone to teamwork
• Able to systematically solve technical problems arising in passenger aircraft and aircraft

The department strives to train students who are dynamically aligned with the sector throughout their education. To this end, the department has established bilateral agreements with companies in the sector to send students for one year of on-the-job training in their final year. This allows students to blend the theoretical knowledge they receive at school with practical studies, making it permanent. It also gives students the opportunity to adapt to the environments where they will work after graduation.

Graduates of the Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Department will be able to:

• Perform aircraft maintenance and repair in accordance with international standards
• Identify and diagnose technical problems in aircraft
• Implement corrective and preventive maintenance procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Use information technologies to support aircraft maintenance and repair
