History

Bismil Vocational School was established in 1992 as a part of Dicle University. In the 1993-1994 academic year, it began its educational activities in a building within the Dicle University campus with the Agricultural Tools and Machinery Program. In 1996, the school relocated to a building in the center of Bismil district and continued its educational activities there.

Considering the agricultural field, production potential, and industrial sector in our region, in the 2007-2008 academic year, our Vocational School expanded its programs and introduced the Computer Programming, Wine Production Technology and Viticulture, Gas and Plumbing Technology, and Organic Agriculture programs. These programs have been continued since then.

In 2014, our Vocational School moved to its own building located in Obalı Neighborhood, 2km away from the center of Bismil district. The new campus spans an area of 2500m² indoors, 40,000m² outdoors, and 500,000m² of agricultural land. Currently, our school continues its educational activities in the same location, offering the Computer Programming and Organic Agriculture programs.
