History

The Institute of Health Sciences at Dicle University was established on January 10, 1983. The institute's purpose is to conduct postgraduate education in Health Sciences at Dicle University in accordance with the objectives and principles of Higher Education Law No. 2547.

Our institute consists of departments affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the School of Physical Education and Sports. A total of 55 postgraduate programs are offered in 34 departments within our institute.

Between February 1983 and April 2021, a total of 400 doctoral students, 211 students from Thesis-based Master's Programs, and 178 students from Non-Thesis Programs graduated from our institute.

Currently, there are 117 doctoral students, 63 students in Thesis-based Master's Programs, and 45 students in Non-Thesis Master's Programs, totaling 225 students, continuing their postgraduate education at our institute.

The primary goal of our institute is to cultivate qualified human resources in the field of health and to continue efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services.
