Assoc. Prof. Osman Solmaz

He completed his undergraduate education at Dicle University Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education, Department of English Language Teaching and his master's degree at Dicle University Institute of Social Sciences, English Language Teaching program. He completed his doctoral education at the University of Arizona (USA) between 2012-2015 with a Fulbright scholarship and obtained his doctorate degree in the interdisciplinary program of Second Language Acquisition and Teaching. At the same university, he conducted research on Turkish as a Foreign Language education at the Turkish Studies Department of the Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies. After returning to Turkey, he continued to work in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education and held positions such as Dicle University Education Commission and Vice Dean of Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education. As of 2021, he became an Associate Professor in English Language Teaching. Dr. Solmaz, who regularly participates in international programs, events and projects, continues his academic studies on foreign language teacher education, digital pedagogical practices, social media research and teaching English as a foreign language.
