History

Dicle University Institute of Educational Sciences was established by a decision published in the Official Gazette dated 13 February 2011 and numbered 27845. The Institute started its activities as of the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year as a result of the transfer of certain departments under the roof of the Institute of Natural Sciences and the Institute of Social Sciences within the university to the Institute of Educational Sciences. The Institute continues its activities within the campus of Dicle University.

With the establishment of the Institute of Educational Sciences, the following programs previously conducted in the Institute of Social Sciences have been transferred:

  • Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's and Doctoral Programs in Educational Management, Inspection, Planning, and Economics
  • Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's Programs in Educational Programs and Instruction
  • Master's Program in Fine Arts Education: Painting Instruction
  • Master's Program in Secondary School Social Fields Education: History Education
  • Master's Program in Secondary School Social Fields Education: Geography Education
  • Master's and Doctoral Programs in Secondary School Social Fields Education: Turkish Language and Literature Education
  • Master's Program in Foreign Language Education: German Language Instruction
  • Master's Program in Foreign Language Education: French Language Instruction
  • Master's Program in Foreign Language Education: English Language Instruction

and in the Institute of Natural Sciences:

  • Master's Program in Secondary School Science and Mathematics Education: Biology Education

Additionally, with the approval of the Higher Education Council (YÖK):

Starting from 2012;

  • * Master's Program in Physics Education

Starting from 2014;

  • Primary School Science and Technology Education,
  • Primary School Mathematics Education,
  • Primary School Classroom Teaching Education
master's programs for these departments have been opened.
