DICLE INIVERSITY, FACULTY OF DENTISTRY ENDODONTICS CLINIC
What Is Root Canal Treatment ? Endodontics is also known as root canal therapy. Pulpan is a form of treatment that is applied in cases where it is damaged in a way which cannot repair itself. Pulp is a soft layer consisting of a bundle of vascular nerves located in the innermost part of the tooth. Usually broken teeth or deep cavities that lead to inflammation of the bacteria pulp. If the inflamed or damaged pulp is not removed, it causes infection in the tooth and surrounding tissues and the tooth is lost. The first stage of treatment begins with anesthesia to the tooth to be painless. Then the bruise is cleaned and the annexed pulp removed. All nerve and tissue residues in the root canal are cleaned.
The canals are extended to the root tip and the canal is irrigated with appropriate solutions. If there is a root canal treatment which will last for more than one session, the healing process is accelerated by applying appropriate medications to the canals and temporary fillings are put on the tooth between sessions. When healing is assured, the canals are filled up to the root tip with a special filler.
Is root canal treatment painful? Root canal therapy is a procedure in which the root canal is removed from the root of the tooth. How long does Root Canal Treatment take? This depends on the condition of the tooth. In some cases, a healthy filling (permanent) can be done in one session, or in some cases more than one session (until the tissue is sure to heal) can continue. What Is Root Canal Treatment ? After taking precautions to prevent tooth re-decay and infection, a tooth with root canal treatment can be used for life. Regular dental check-ups are essential in this process. Root canal treatment: the process of removing the entire crown and root pulp under anesthesia or by devatalising and following the removal of the canals by widening, irrigan substances from cleaning until the tip of the root is completely filled. The patient's age and overall health are also very important in the success of this treatment. Oral examination of the patient who comes to the Clinic is performed after taking Anamnesis. The film is taken as an aid in diagnosis and treatment.
After the necessary anesthesia is provided, the caries in the crowns are completely cleaned and entered into the pulp chamber. After the crown pulp is cleaned with hand tools, canal mouths are detected. The number of canals varies with each tooth. Their position is also different with respect to each tooth. The pulp inside the root canal is removed with all kinds of devices or hand tools. After this process, the root canal is thoroughly washed with disinfectant solutions. The seab-NSTA root canal where healing can be achieved is tightly filled with tissue-friendly duct fillers. In short, endodontics treatment (root canal therapy) is the last form of treatment done to save the female. Considerations after Root Canal Treatment: 1. After treatment, there may be mild pain and tenderness in the tooth. In this case, the best solution is not to use the area where the tooth is located for a few days. 2. After the root canal treatment, there may be swelling around the treated tooth. In such a case, contact your doctor. 3. In some cases, we recommend covering the tooth after root canal treatment. Because dead tissues become more fragile (as in a dried-up tree), they have little resistance to bumps such as trauma and tooth tightening. In addition, some problems may arise aesthetically because the tooth will lose its natural color and vitality after death. Root canal treatment is a procedure in which the root canal is removed from the tooth. 4. Because the teeth with the canal treatment are devital, their fragility increases. This is why it is recommended that very hard foods with teeth not be chewed.
