CONTAINEES OF NURSING LESSONS

Subject : The Fundamentals of Nursing

This develops students capacity to comprehend the importance, position, role and functions of the discipline of nursing in the protection and improvement of the health of individuals, families and the society as well as its relations with the other disciplines concerning health. It also develops the capasity to come to decision in a right and proper way, in the application of the process of care and solution determining the health problems with relation to him or her and to his or her family, in case of a disease or infirmity.

Subject : Anatomy

After teaching macroscopic structures and functions of human body, professional applications are based on this knowledge.

Subject : Physiology

This makes students get the knowledge about conducting and controlling the functions of body and operating in its coordination

Subject Histology

After teaching microscopic structures and functions of human body, professional applications are based on this knowledge

Subject : Introduction to Nutrition

Necessary changes in diet during the time of diseases are taught emphasizing the importance of nutrition in the protective and healing health services. Students are informed of the rules of preparing and cooking food.

Subject : Foreign Language (English)

The reguired basic principles of making translations from Turkish to English and English to Turkish are taught.

Subject : Atatürk's Principles and History of Reforms

This makes students adopt Atatürk's principles and reforms. In the application and defence of Atatürk's system of thought sensitive and laic members of profession are trained.

Subject : Turkish Language

This makes the students get the capacity to use Turkish in a proper and beatiful manner, as a means of oral and written expression, in trems of language and thought connection.

Subject Interpersonal Relationship

The aim of this lecture is to change the students' behaviours so that they can understand human behaviours and they can know about methods, techniques and information which will provide them to be creative, happy and satisfied by succesfull relationships both in personal and professional life

This makes students comprehend the structure and metabbolic characteristics of biochemical macromolecules.

Subject : Microbiology – Parasitology

This makes the students comprehend the structures and characteristics of microorganisms and parasites. The importance of sterilization, disinfection and immunuzation in health care systems is tought.

Through teaching that the fundamental element of professional life is “human being”, human characteristics and the source of human behaviour are tought. This makes students comprehend the basic factors necessary for communication with people.
