Department of Chemistry is a part of faculty of Arts and Sciences and its all teaching and research actvities run in the faculty building. The Department, one of the most active departments in University, hosts 5 teaching laboratuaries, Analytic, Biochemistry, Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry, each with its own facilities. The following apparatuses serve the Department's research activities.
NMR (60 MHz and 400 MHz ), ICP, AA, HPLC, HPLC (with both UV and chiral detectors), GC, Chemical Analysis Apparatus, Electrophoresis, Capillary Electrophoresis, UV/Vis, Fourier-IR, High Vacuum Pump, Polarimeter
Research in the Department of Chemistry spans all sub-disciplines, from theoretical chemistry to biological chemistry and microbiology. There are five research sections - analytic, biochem istry , inorganic, organic, computational chemistry and physical - though collaborative research both between sections and with other Departments is also important.
Postgraduate admissions - includes information about Ph.D. study within the Department
